On 19th September 2023, peacefully in hospital. Fortified by the Rites of Holy Mother Church.  Vera, aged 85 years.  Beloved wife of Tony, much loved mum of Steven and David, dear mother-in-law of Lorraine, dearly loved grandma of Nicole and Rebecca also a treasured great-grandma of Freya.  R.I.P.  Requiem Mass in St Edward’s Church, Darwen on Friday, 6th October at 2 p.m. will be followed by cremation at Pleasington.  Family flowers only please, but if desired donations may be sent for The Alzheimer’s Society.  c/o Edwin Ainsworth Funeral Service, Church Bank Street, Darwen.  BB3 3HA.  Tel 01254 873290
